Front Page

Thank goodness it’s Friday and not only that thank goodness it’s Friday after work already. I am so tired. The late shift on Wednesday really wore me out (lots of fires and a presentation to see to) then the following morining I had an early start (crown court for a mobile phone robber and an indencent assault followed in the afternoon by more indecent assaults) then another late night last night when I went out with my work mates.

Today I actually got to write the front page which means 200,000 people will be reading my words tomorrow. I was trying not to let myself get too excited and i’m gald I didn’t really because once I had written the story someone came along and practically re-wrote it. Without wanting to sound like a brat I liked most of mine better. I could see where some of it needed ‘tweaking’ here and there but I really didn’t think that much of it needed doing. The trouble is we all have different styles of writing and everyone sees their way of doing things as the best. Still it’s my work and i’m happy to take the front page as my own. I just hope I get another chance to have a go at it in the future.

Now i’m planning to chill out for the rest of the night.
